Day 1: Cut & Clear (Metabolic Kickstart)
Welcome to Day 1 of the 7-Day Metabolic Kickstart. I’m Danielle, and on behalf of the BetterLife team, congratulations. You’ve already taken the first step toward changing your habits and improving your metabolic health.
Today is what I call Cut & Clear. This is where you take a step back and get honest with yourself about where you stand right now. Most of us already know we’re eating too much sugar, too many processed foods, and letting some habits slide. And yes, that’s draining your energy, spiking your cravings, and slowing your metabolism. But I’m not here to judge. I’m here to help you move forward.
In order to start this challenge and summarize what was said in this video
- Start by taking a big look at your own fridge and cupboards. Remove all carbs and sugar.
- Download the Yuka App and start scanning foods as they come in. Avoid all processed foods.
- Start moving. Get a Fitbit or Oura Ring if possible, and aim for 10,000+ steps per day.
- Download a food tracker like Chronometer. Being accountable and tracking everything is crucial.
Just look at today as more of a getting-started day. Tomorrow we’ll begin diving into the bigger picture items. The morning email will include more details on daily supplements, vitamins, and how even small deficiencies can hold your metabolism back.
